Beauty by Stacey

Take a Deep Breath

Turning the corner onto the beautiful tree-lined Dora Drive in Simcoe already feels like a welcome alternative to finding city parking at my usual salon/spa in Hamilton. The Beauty by Stacey spa door is painted a refreshing pink and Stacey calls up to welcome you on arrival. The space is fresh, bright, and impeccably clean. Stacey has been working so hard at getting everything set up since her move to Simcoe only a few weeks ago.

Experience Enlightened Self-Care

Stacey is incredibly passionate about aesthetics and making her clients feel well cared for. “As an entrepreneur, it’s important that I have everything set up properly from the get-go. I take debit and credit and I’ve invested in my website and an online booking system.” Stacey is right about that last point – I got no less than 3 confirmations for my appointment and then I got appointment reminders via email and text, something that this busy person values immensely. Though, it’s doubtful that I’d forget an appointment of this nature. Who doesn’t love a signature facial?

Stacey and I had the chance to talk about her business and her background. She has a degree in Architecture and worked in the field for a time before realizing her true passion. She completed her aesthetics course and took a position in a traditional salon. It wasn’t long before she realized that she wanted to become a business owner and start up her own company. Her in-laws lovingly shared a spare room in their home in Caledonia so that she could do just that.

Onward and Upward

Now located in a gorgeous mature neighbourhood in Simcoe, Stacey is focused on the future of her business. She is also adapting to the challenges brought forward by COVID-19. “Normally, we’d have multiple weddings booked each weekend this summer.” Beauty By Stacey also offers bridal services and on any given Saturday in July, she might have up to 4 of her team members deployed. “We’re participating in an online bridal show soon and most of my clients have simply rebooked to 2021,” Stacey explained optimistically.

Though COVID-19 has thrown a wrench in the wedding season, Stacey is quick to highlight her new space and how the intimate nature of it is a major advantage for her clients. “Because my studio is designed for one-on-one experiences, clients can feel comfortable knowing it’s just us – this is not a high-traffic area. I’m allowing extra time to sanitize between clients and we’ve installed the plexiglass here at the manicure station.”

Further to traditional spa services like mani/pedis, Stacey is an accredited medical aesthetician so she is able to offer enhanced services in the name of high-quality skincare. She carries medical-grade products for purchase and will not recommend anything she does not believe in wholeheartedly. From lashes to brows to facials and makeup consults, Stacey is just getting started. She expects to offer even more services to clients with time.

Stacey’s attention to detail, care for her clients and love of continuing education all contribute to the strength of the Beauty by Stacey brand. We are proud to have commercial Members like Stacey who share our values of integrity and service.
