We recently visited our friend Teagan, owner of Spectrum Gymnastics Club to chat about a barrier that she is currently facing, and how she’s working to overcome it.
Spectrum is a fully inclusive gymnastics club in Simcoe, Ontario welcoming individuals of all ages and abilities. The entrance is currently only accessible by stairs, meaning that all of their wheelchair users need to be carried up to the entrance by Teagan and her team.
In order to make the entrance more accessible, ensure that everyone can independently access it, and allow even more people to enjoy the inclusive programming that Spectrum offers, they need a wheelchair lift installed, at a cost of $40,000.
To help raise money for the lift, Spectrum is Lifting the Limits by hosting an amazing fundraising event! Featuring tunes by Black Creek Music, food by Dominos Simcoe, alcohol, games, raffles and good company, this is an evening not to be missed!
