Xtralife Toys and Games
First, we stopped by Xtralife Toys and Games to geek out with Scott and Colin. This huge space has something fun for everyone with a giant assortment of #FunkoPops, Board Games, toys and action figures, trading cards, hobby supplies, 3D printing, and so much more. They also host a variety of in-person game nights and events, allowing people to bring along family and friends for an entertaining night out.
DBI Brokers
Xtralife Toys and Games are clients of ours through our Broker Partners DBI Brokers. So, next, we walked around the corner to stop in to chat with Alice and Tyler. We talked #FunkoPops and the amazing variety of toys and treasures to be found at Xtralife, making it one stop shopping for family gifts! We found out a bit more about Alice and Tyler (stay tuned for a fun Speed Round to come!), and even impressed them with a few tricks by our very own Magician, Graemazing – Level 7 Wizard.
Firefly & Fox Books
A quick trip around the corner and we found ourselves in the coziest, most colourful bookstore around – Firefly & Fox Books. The small shop was a buzz of activity while Catherine expertly guided us through a few of her top recommendations among the stocked shelves… but don’t ask her to pick a favourite! Specializing in Children’s Books, Literary Fiction, and anything local and Canadian, she can also order in by request, help suggest the perfect gift, or happily add on to your #TBR pile!
Blue Elephant
After all of our exploring, we had worked up quite an appetite (and thirst!), so wrapping up our day we stopped by The Blue Elephant for lunch. This casual craft brewpub and restaurant was the perfect place to unwind. We recapped our adventures, favourite collectables and must-read books while enjoying the daily specials and a cold one. And a toast – cheers to our next #NovaFieldTrip! Where should we adventure next?
